SEVENTH FILMS

Owned by  Jay Abello (Producer I Director I Cinematographer) , Maita Lupac (Producer- Director) and Jay Mitra (Partner-Cinematographer), Seventh Films was created purposely to help YOU TELL YOUR STORY.

Seventh Films is a house of artists who enjoy telling stories. We like all sorts of stories. Stories about children, food, water, agriculture, industry, economy, culture and the arts, indigenous people, the environment…any story as long as you believe in it. We have 7 artists under us:  two directors, two cinematographers, one producer/writer and one animator.

We co-produced the independent films Ligaw Liham (2007), Namets! (Yummy) (2008) and Pureza: The Story of Negros Sugar (2011), a full length documentary on the sugar industry of Negros island.  In between these indies, we discovered that NGOs needed help in telling their own stories so we produced films and projects for them.

Aside from Blood in the Gallera, we are also in production on another full-length documentary on surfing entitled Norte (in co-production with Coast Thru Life) .

We have also developed (in partnership with Akubo Software Inc.) a storybook application for the iPad entitled Esturya which was released last December 2013 in iTunes.  We are also currently working on another surfing application for both smartphones, androids, tablets and Apple products.
